Add and order register assignments
Put registers into the membership definition, choose their outcome and their order.
Studio roles: "Owner", "Administrator" and "Community manager".
All changes on this page are drafts until you save. The page marks them as "Unsaved changes", and "Discard changes" undoes them.
Add a register
- Open "Membership definition".
- Under "Register assignments", choose "Add register" and pick the register. It is added at the bottom of the list, with the outcome "Qualifies" and no filters.
- Choose its "Outcome": "Qualifies" or "Refuses".
- Add filters if only some of the people found there should be decided by it.
- Choose "Save and publish".
Without any register, "Create a register first, then add it here." Without any register assignment, nobody qualifies.
Change the order
"Asked from top to bottom; the first register that decides wins." To move a register assignment:
- drag its row by the handle on the left, or
- use its move up and move down buttons, or
- with the keyboard, focus the handle, press space to pick the register up, move it with the arrow keys, and press space to drop it or escape to cancel.
Put a register that refuses above the registers it overrides. If Pannoniqa AG had to keep certain people out whatever HR says, it would add an internal register with the outcome "Refuses" at position 1.
Remove a register
Choose the remove button of the register assignment, then "Save and publish". The register itself stays, with its entries; it just no longer decides.
A register deleted since the last save is shown as "Deleted register". "This register was deleted. Remove it to save the definition."
When a change applies
A saved definition applies to the next membership check of each person. A member who is already valid stays valid until their next check, which runs at their next sign-in. To see what your changes would do before you save, use Preview before saving. To see how the saved definition decides one member code, use Member code query; a query reflects your changes only once you have saved them.
